Tequila's First Annual Wine Cruise

Classic Glassers gather for a great cruise through the Northwest Georgia countryside.

CGCC President Joe Owens preps the troops at the drivers meeting.

The gang gathers to take in the beautiful scenery of the Three Sisters Winery.

Santa scratches his head...  This is July and what am I doing in a winery??  This was Three Sisters Wineries Annual Christmas in July Celebration.

Charles Eason and Rose view the items on sale next to the sampling area.

One of the proprietors, Doug, enlightens some of our travelers on the selections of the day.

What a beautiful scene, a sea of beautiful Corvettes with a hillside full of grapevines.

Another great view of the vineyard and one of their many barns.

A little different angle showing the beautiful day we had for this trip.

After the tasting at Three Sisters, several of our crew share their opinions on the vintages they have tasted.

One last look back down the hillside at a serene and inviting winery, the line of Corvettes snaking through the scene doesn't hurt...

Our next stop was Habersham Winery.  Here we were given a behind the scenes tour of their winery and wine making process.

One of the owners, Sid, pours a sample for the First Lady Cindy Owens.

Randy Cooper checks the bouquet of the sample he is tasting.

Jamie and Gary can't make up their mind on what to try first.

CGCC President Joe Owens proves this wine is good to the last drop.

Barry Tomlinson samples a vintage from the selection as his wife Cheryl shares her thoughts on her choice.

(L-R) Paul, Tim and Rose take a load off before we head on to lunch.  Tasting wine can wear on your knees...

Lunch was at Han's Restaurant in Helen, GA.  A great Bavarian meal was enjoyed by all that attended.

The rest of our crowd enjoying the air conditioning on such a hot July day.

Jamie McSwain and Gary Pippel sit at the bar, since this was about the only place left to sit after we took over the entire third floor of the restaurant.
